I lost my tongue
My tongue is like a connection you see
Like an invisible string that is tied to some place else
It is like a metaphor you see
Either way, I have lost it its gone
Maybe it was stolen
And then replaced by the thieves with a new one
One that can speak a strange language
Full of harsh g’s and shameful words
Or maybe it was taken from me
By a doctor, who decided to amputate it
His decision was purely medical of course
If I had kept it I wouldn’t have had a voice at all
His was a decision for the better
Or maybe I lost it
Maybe it is my fault
For not looking for it sooner
Either way
